1. Game Mechanics: 5×3 Grid, 10 Fixed Paylines, and the Core Paytable

Book of Dead GO Collect runs on a 5×3 grid with 10 fixed paylines, all paying left to right on adjacent reels. Wins start from the leftmost reel, only the highest win per payline counts, and EXPANDING SYMBOL wins (from Free Spins) pay anywhere ignoring gaps.

The TOMB SCATTER is the dual-role symbol to understand first. Three or more TOMB SCATTERS anywhere on the reels triggers FREE SPINS: 10 initially, with retriggers adding 10 more per activation up to a cap of 80. The mechanical differences are additive, not replacements. GO Collect layers a Hold and Win jackpot respin feature on top of the existing game. The original Book of Dead has no jackpot structure and no stater accumulation. For players who want pure free-spins high variance with no competing mechanic, the original is the cleaner experience. For players who want a higher win ceiling and an additional in-play progression system, GO Collect has the argument.

The max win doubling from 5,000× to 10,000× is the headline number, but it comes with a structural redistribution: some of the base-game return is routed through the GO COLLECT jackpot system rather than purely through payline and scatter pays.
